who
i’m manfred. i build tools and infrastructure that help people coordinate and create. i write go, contribute to gno.land, and believe software should empower more than it controls.
what i believe about software
tools with purpose: simple is strong. one task, done well. most complexity is fear in disguise.
people over code: write like someone’s reading. clarity is kindness. open source is shared trust, made real.
make, break, learn: ship the messy version. learn in public. start again. it’s the trying that teaches.
resilient by design: infrastructure shapes us. build for what lasts. invite others in. leave space to grow.
freedom feels better: create without permission. work that brings joy lasts longer. integrity matters. fun matters.
break gently: some things need breaking. some need care. often, they’re the same.
what i’ve worked on
current: cto at gno.land, working on decentralized blockchain technology for social coordination.
built: berty (p2p messaging), scaleway (cloud, hardware), wulo (nonprofit ridesharing). mentored and invested in 30+ startups.
open source: 900+ repos, 50k+ contributions. building tools that matter. looking for maintainers. sponsored by google, github, apple.
community: 60+ talks. organizing paris p2p and web3 normandy. created epitech security labs. coached students from epitech, 42, holberton, and epita. mentoring entrepreneurs i believe in.
